Carl was the Music Director for Leon Schlesinger's studio, who did the animated shorts for Warner Bros. From the mid-thirties to the late fifties, Carl made music for almost every animated cartoon for WB, producing a body of work that transcends orchestral style. It is unlikely any of the Warner Bros. characters would have turned out the same without the notes, cues, and music that Carl Stalling put to the craziness we were entertained with.
