Pint O' Comics Episode 317 w/ Paul Kupperberg (and Mitch Hallock)

Paul Kupperberg has had numerous assignments at DC Comics, Archie Comics, the Weekly World News, and doing Mad Libs that you kind of think he's done it all. Yet for the last few years he's branched out into a published interview series of books that are true pieces of history. From DIRECT COMMENTS where previously published interviews with working greats of the time was edited and collected, to DIRECT CONVERSATIONS in which Paul talked to his contemporaries, to the currently crowdfunding DIRECT CREATIVITY with discussions amongst currently active creators. These books are filled to the brim with information of a sort that would normally be lost to history, making them important to all comic book writers, artists and historians. Paul and I talk around the books and their import, wind our way through some bizarre and fun commentary, and just laugh a little as we do. Along for the ride is Mitch "King of the Nerds" Hallock bringing the chaos. You haven't heard anything until you hear someone singing the theme to My Mother the Car... The new book is of his own contemporaries, all having gotten into the business around the same time. It's presently in a Kickstarter campaign (ending very soon) and is a worthy shelf piece for all historians and interested parties. We also delve into characters Paul has worked on while at DC Comics, particularly the strangely popular Peacemaker, originally a Charlton Comics publication, from right here in Connecticut.
