It's a brief history of the African nation of Congo, and the tumult the people in the region have had to survive since European intrusion. Lushly, colorfully illustrated, it's a great read for people with no knowledge of what's been going on there for the past 200 years, and even a great refresher for folks that do know. It contains a fully fleshed out bibliography for readers interested in doing deeper investigation, with notations from Edmund. Due out in November in North America from Arsenal Pulp Press, I think listeners will enjoy this discussion.</p> <p>**AUDIO NOTE** Unfortunately this recording was difficult to edit with some unusual echo on my end and I erred in running the raw recording for the first half of the show.
