Pint O' Comics Episode 347 - The Legend of Kingdom Come

Kingdom Come is a comic book series published in four volumes during the 1996 year, written by Mark Said and fully painted by Alex Ross. The series has been collected in various volumes, some with annotations and additional special features, and has really become a fan favourite beyond the norm. Director Remsy Atassi and producer (and artist) Sal Abbinanti have opened up a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter of a documentary feature focusing on the series, as well as a deeper look into the art of Alex Ross. We discuss some of the details here, and both Remsy and Sal get your host to jump on board this very interesting project. A greatly informative and funny show was had! In 1970, the rock festival circuit came to a near dead stop with the never-quite-happened Powder Ridge Rock Festival in Middlefield, Connecticut. Bands were booked, tickets sold in the multitudes, and then the powers-that-be shut it down. Hard. Regardless, concertgoers showed up and camped out on the skiing hill in the hot month of August, pushing the tiny community to the end of their wits. What was it all about? Who wanted it on, who wanted it off? Gorman Bechard, movie documentarian of such films as PIZZA: A LOVE STORY and COLOR ME OBSESSED is currently working on a full documentary of the Powder Ridge Rock Fest, which we discuss at length in this episode.
