Acoustic Blender - WESU FM, Middletown CT is back with the 6pm start time tonight. Quite by accident, I stumbled over Tom Russell's 2015 all-star folk opera CD "The Rose of Roscrae" so we'll start with a few cuts from that release. New music from folks like Mark Erelli, Abbie Gardner, Billy Kemp, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ed Romanoff, birthday observances for Ewan McColl, Warren Zevon, Lucinda Williams, and of course, the concert listing at seven with music from folks playing locally like Sierra Hull, The Meadows Brothers, Feinberg Brothers, Grass Routes Bluegrass.

Sunday was the 70th anniversary of the events memorialized in Deportee (aka. "Plane Wreck at Los Gatos") and Saturday was the anniversary of Pete Seeger's passing, so we'll remember those events as well. And more, of course.
